What is SNADNAZ? The Southwest Native American District Church of the Nazarene is a community of 30+ active churches throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California, and Mexico. Meet Our District Superintendent

John R Nells, District Superintendent

Southwest Native American District

John was selected to become the district superintendent in June of 1985. He has served in this capacity since then. He currently serves on the boards of; Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, CA; Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, CO; and Sun Valley Indian School, Holbrook, AZ. He serves as Facilitator for the Native American Strategy Committee for USA/Canada Region, the Global Ministry Center, Lenexa, KS.

John and his wife, Juanita live in Dilkon, AZ and serve and participate in the local Dilkon First Church of the Nazarene. His district covers New Mexico, Arizona and along the Colorado River Indian Tribes in California. There are 32 Native American Indian churches under his care.
